Visiting the shop
What are your hours?
The People’s Barbershop is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 7 AM to 1 PM. We’re closed on Sundays. To lock in a time, book online before you come in.
Where are you located, and is there parking?
We’re at 603 Alcovy St, Monroe, GA 30655 — look for our sign and the barber pole by the front door. There’s a parking lot right on the property. Get directions.
How do I book an appointment?
Book online anytime through our online booking page — choose your service and an open time, and you’re set. You can also call us at (404) 694-3314 during shop hours.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, walk-ins are welcome. Appointments come first, though, so booking online is the best way to guarantee your spot and skip the wait.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 4 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made less than 4 hours ahead may be charged 50% of the scheduled service, and no-call/no-shows are charged 50% of the scheduled service. By booking, you agree to this policy.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and cash.

How much does a haircut cost?
A men’s haircut at The People’s Barbershop is $40, and it includes a shampoo, cut, style, and a hot-lather straight-razor finish on the neck with a hot towel. A beard trim is $25, or $45 with a haircut. Kids 12 and under and seniors 65 and older pay $30 for a haircut. See the full menu.
What services do you offer?
We offer haircuts, beard trims, haircut-and-beard-trim combos, traditional straight-razor shaves and hot-lather head shaves, plus kids’ haircuts for ages 12 and under and senior haircuts for customers 65 and older.
Do you do fade haircuts and lineups?
Yes. Skin fades, low fades, tapers, hard parts and crisp lineups are everyday work in our chairs. See recent cuts in the gallery.
Do you offer straight-razor shaves?
Yes. Our Traditional Shave is a hot-lather straight-razor shave finished with a cool towel, and our Hot Lather Head Shave leaves your scalp smooth. Both are $40. Every beard trim also includes a hot towel and a straight-razor line.
Do you cut kids’ hair?
Yes. Kids’ haircuts are $30 for children 12 and under.
Is there a senior discount?
Yes. Seniors 65 and over save $10 on a haircut — it’s $30.
